**********All Star Game Itinerary**********

Check-in: Hello everyone and thank you for your participation in the Viral Sports 1st Annual Middle School Basketball All Star Invitational Games. We have experienced a minor change in scheduling for our game. The Capital City Go Go will be having practice on the floor until 12:15pm so we will be able to access the court at that time. This leaves us 15 minutes to get into the building and onto the court by 12:30pm tip off so everyone must be early to arrive at the venue.

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:

It has been brought to our attention this morning by school administrators that student-athletes from their school are prohibited from playing in a non-league basketball game. Multiple players who are registered to play are also from the same league. Viral Sports has decided to change the status of today’s event from an all-star “game” to an all-star “exhibition” to alleviate the possibility of players risking their eligibility. We want everyone who has been selected for our roster to play. Our basketball sporting event will still maintain standard format.

Players and Coaches

  • Players will wear blank jerseys with no numbers to clearly distinguish today’s event as an exhibition and not a game.
  • Players and Coaches must arrive at the Chase Fieldhouse by 11:30am to check-in and pickup their jerseys.

Viral Sports All-Star Game voting process

The Viral Sports All-Star Game voting process affords players and coaches the primary responsibility of selecting the All-Stars as they have 50% share of the total vote tally. We also encourage participation in the popular voting system. The Viral Sports popular voting system allows fans to vote, which accounts for 25% of the total vote tally. Media members have a 25% share. The Viral Sports All-Star Game will add an additional four players to the roster through a combination of fan and media votes. Once the fan voting period ends, the results are tallied along with those of the media panel to determine the top vote-getters in each conference.

Eligibility criteria for players to be voted as All-Stars

The Viral Sports All-Star Game voting process has several eligibility requirements for players to be voted as All-Stars.
Firstly, all active players in the league are eligible to be voted as All-Stars, including those who have not played a single game during the season. However, they must meet certain requirements such as being on the roster of a participating league team and having played at least one minute in a game that season.
Secondly, players must also meet specific positional requirements. Each position has its own set of guidelines for eligibility. For example, a player must play at least half of their team’s games at a particular position to be considered for that position on the All-Star team.
Thirdly, players must also receive a minimum number of votes from fans, media members, and current participating league players to be selected as an All-Star. The exact number of votes required varies each year.

Method used to determine the top vote-getters in each conference

The Viral Sports All-Star Game voting process is conducted online to determine the top vote-getters in each conference. Importance of fan voting in determining the final All-Star rosters

The Viral Sports All-Star Game voting process is heavily reliant on fan voting to determine the final All-Star rosters. Fan voting accounts for approximately 25% of the total vote in determining the starting lineups and reserves for each conference. The importance of fan voting lies in its ability to recognize players who may not be selected by coaches or media members due to factors such as popularity or conference appeal. It also allows fans to have more direct input into the selection process, making it a more democratic and inclusive process.

Role of media members in selecting All-Stars

The Viral Sports All-Star Game voting process involves Media Members who are responsible for submitting their votes for the All-Star starters. The exact criteria for selection generally takes into account a player’s performance over the previous season, as well as their career achievements. Overall, the role of media members in selecting All-Stars is an important part of the voting process, as it helps ensure that the best players are recognized and celebrated throughout the league.

Details on how the coaches for each team select their respective All-Star starters

The Viral Sports All-Star Game voting process involves fans, media members, and current players all contributing to the selection of the game’s starters. The coaches for each team select their respective All-Star starters through a combination of fans votes, media members votes, players votes and coaches votes. Each All-Star coach will ultimately select their team’s starters for each roster position, and rely heavily on fan votes, media members and players votes to select a 2nd and 3rd player for each roster position.

Explanation of the All-Star game format, including the drafting of teams and rules governing the game itself

The Viral Sports All-Star Game is played in two phases. Players are ranked by position and then voted on within each category until the top three at each position are selected.
In the second phase, the coaches of each team select their respective all-star starters from the pool of players who have been voted into the game. Once the starting lineups have been determined, the captains of each team will draft the remaining players in order to create two equally balanced teams. These players are chosen from the pool of reserves that were not selected as starters.
During the actual game, there are several rules in place to ensure fair play. For example, Each player must play continuously for at least one (1) quarter of game time. There are also specific rules regarding timeouts and substitutions during the course of the game.
